How do I cite material from class handouts?

Answer

If you want to reference material from class handouts, here is an example of how that would look in your bibliography -- in MLA 8 format -- where it is considered an "unpublished document."

Cole, Viki.  "IB Psychology Class Notes, 2016."  United World College of SE Asia, East campus, Singapore.  Class handout.

Just try to make it as obvious as possible to your readers who the author of the material is and where you read it.

Here are more examples from Pellissippi State College (http://lib.pstcc.edu/c.php?g=106731&p=3547447#classhandout):
