Q. How do I note take and annotate a myON book?


Follow this link to be guided through the steps while you are using myON


The first step is to open <span class=""><i><b>a book</b></i></span> and click <span class=""><i><b> Read <br></b></i>On this screen you will see valuable information about the level of the book (Guided Reading = F&amp;P), age level and length, as well as the blurb</span>

Click <span class="component"><i><b> Start the Book </b></i></span>

Click <span class=""><i><b>Arrow </b></i>to turn the pages</span>

Click <b><i>Tools</i></b><span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>

Click <b><i>Journal.&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>The reader can make notes about the book in the journal<br>You can find these notes at anytime by clicking on <b><i>Your Name</i></b> at the top of the myON login page and click <b><i>Journal</i></b><span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>

Click in&nbsp;<span class=""><i><b>blank box</b></i><b></b> and start taking notes</span>

Type your notes in <b><i>Blank Box&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>and the date and title will appear in the box on the left

Click <b><i>Title</i></b> and add a meaningful title

Click <span><i><b> Title Date 5/17/2017&nbsp;</b></i>and add a meaningful title<i><b></b></i></span>

Click <b><i>Journal</i></b> to close the note-taking feature

Click <b><i>Highlighter</i></b><span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>

Click <span class="component"><i><b> </b></i></span>

Click <b><i>Colour </i></b>if you want a particular coloured highlighter

With your mouse, click and drag <span class=""><i><b> </b></i></span>, then drop it on the text you want to highlight<span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>


Click <b><i>Pin</i></b> to write a post-it

Click <span class="component"><i><b>Write a note here</b></i></span>

Type your text in <span class=""><i><b>Write a note here</b></i></span>

Click <b><i>Arrow</i></b> to close<span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>

A <b><i>Pin</i></b> will show you where your post-it note is so that you can open it again with a Click

Click <b><i>Shape</i></b> to highlight areas with a shape. Choose your shapes and colours from the toolbar

Drag your <b><i>Shape</i></b> around the area you want to highlight<span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>

Click <b><i>Arrow</i></b><span class=""><i><b></b></i></span>

Drag <b><i>Cursor&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>to place an arrow

That's it. You're done.<br>You can close the book and log out. When you return to the book all your annotations will remain. No one else sees your annotations
