Can I borrow textbooks during the June/July holiday from East Libraries?

Answer

The library does not usually allow students and teachers to borrow textbooks over the summer holidays. The reason for this decision is that the library staff need to account for a vast number of texts that are used to support the curriculum across the campus. The June/July break is our opportunity to collect them all in, ensure that they are in good condition, and make sure that we have sufficient numbers to issue to students in the first week back in the new school year.

There may be exceptions to this though and we request that you ask teachers to email the Head of Libraries at East, Barbara Reid, if you feel it is necessary for you to have books over the June/July break.

We encourage you to access some of our amazing online resources through find.uwcsea.edu.sg or to borrow books from the main collection for the holidays.
